Happy Birthday to all of those born in the month of October!
Today I am writing about the birthstone color for the Month
of October. I will not go into too much detail because there is way too much to
discuss. I will keep this very simple for those of us who enjoy beading, we
look at the month and design jewelry either as gifts or to sell and the question always comes up. Sometimes my customers
will ask the same; what color or stone should I
use for a particular month. Well I decided to post a short list for October.
Opal is the traditional birthstone
for October
Pink Tourmaline is the
modern birthstone for October
Rose is the Color that is mostly
used when making beaded jewelry
October Flower is Marigold
October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month – Color is
Pink
Below is a beaded bracelet which is a combination for a
birthday and Cancer awareness. I used Swarovski Rose, Clear Crystals, Rondells,
Sterling Silver and the Ribbon is Pewter and a heart toggle.
