Zippered Pouch

I have been working on these small bags for a couple of days. Decisions on fabric, not easy. Well I had plenty of the one pictured below. The small coin pouches are zippered and lined. The measurement is about 3.5" high, 6" wide, the opening is 5". They are perfect for credit cards, money and keys in a pocket, purse or in your glove compartment to store loose change. This really makes a great gift. The sample picture below is with the Chicago Bears fabric. All of the zippered pouches are made to order. I will have a variety of fabrics to choose from.  If you have a different fabric request just send me an email. I will have these available in my etsy store

My Esty Shop - EclecticStudioByLucy

After noodling for quite some time, I decided to stop dragging my feet and open up my shop. I usually spend more time in gathering and thinking what can I post, and the words that go with it. Most of the time if I spend too much time working on the details, I will not have anything done. I am sure there are many people out there that know if you spend too much time trying to perfect everything, you will not accomplish a thing. That was my dilemma. Well here is the link https://www.etsy.com/shop/EclecticStudioByLucy

All items can be customized, whether it is the color, size or even the items that have fabric. Please share any comments if you have any. Thank you for stopping by.

Make up bag

Good Morning Everyone!

My next item is a make up bag/cosmetic bag. I used a cat pattern fabric, which I purchased at Joanne Fabrics, the zipper on the other hand was purchased at Fabrics Ect. Making this small bag was also quick and fun. To make this item, you will need the following:

One of a kind handmade cosmetic bag
Make up bag / Cosmetic Bag
1) Outer fabric, 2) the lining fabric, 3) a zipper 4) an interface

I am planning on having a similar item available for sale on my Etsy shop pretty soon. Of course request for certain fabric colors or patterns are also welcome. In the meantime, you can send me an email with your request.

Thank you for visiting my blog!

Pretty little casual purse "Denim Cross Body Bag"

I am sure many have noodled a sewing project, for days or even weeks. The most difficult part for me is deciding on the fabric patterns and colors. So many choices out there, you just want all of them.  I usually say lets go to Jo Ann Fabrics it will only take a couple of minutes or 15 at the most. Then when I finally leave it turns out to be more than a half an hour. I love looking at everything else in the store. I thank God, my husband has so much patience to deal with me and my shopping habits.
Anyway back to the finally finished project.

I decided to make a simple, and small purse. This one has a snap for a closure, denim is the fabric and the inside is a pretty light green for the lining. I also added two pockets, on the inside of the lining.

A similar version will be available for sale thru my Etsy shop, which I am still working on.

My struggles with Multiple Sclerosis

It has been months since I updated my blog.  The last several months have been a true test for me. For those of you who have Multiple Sclerosis, you will understand. One minute you are up and running, you feel that you can do it all. Then suddenly one thing after the next comes your way, and it is not good. The feeling that MS is going to win or is winning crosses your mind. You ask yourself, what’s the point of trying anymore? You are too tired and you are in such excruciating pain that you just want to crawl somewhere and hide. Yes, depression is right there. You are not the type to give up, but you sure feel like it. You have this list of goals and things you want to accomplish or at least just for today. If you accomplish one you say, Thank you God I did just one out of three.  Now you added those two things you didn’t do for tomorrows list and hope that tomorrow is better than today. Everyone has struggles, aches and pain. We deal with it differently, some share stories of their struggles and others don’t. I am one of those that doesn’t let anyone know, up until today.  When you are running your own business, it is really difficult if pain gets in the way, and you cannot use your hands. In my case, I am unable to sew and I am unable to bead.  I will look at this as a temporary setback.
